GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL FUNDING & FUNDRAISING

Funding and fundraising has become an essential part of all grassroots football club’s survival and there are various funding streams options available. Some of these may be affiliated with the County Football Associations and others not.

GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL FUNDING

Grassroots Football clubs up and down the UK are seeking much needed financial support and help to keep going and provide a platform for their communities to play football. The COVID 19 pandemic in December 2019 raised the attention of the struggle in grassroots sports and the effect it can have on communities infrastructure, for which grassroots football clubs play a key part.

Junior Grassroots recognises that the government has helped, by providing clubs with business rate reductions and grants to cover the lockdown. The budget that was put in place went a fair way in supporting many grassroots football clubs across the country as well and all types of businesses. As such, there were provisions for temporary tax relief and to support affected businesses during the restrictions of the lockdown.

We feel that the ongoing issues with grassroots football funding will make it more difficult for grassroots clubs to sustain themselves whilst trying to provide an essential platform for their communities and for their children.

We’re here to support communities with the things that are important to them, including mitigating the impact of the cost-of-living crisis and supporting them as they seek to recover, rebuild and grow following the Covid-19 pandemic.

You can apply for funding to deliver a new or existing activity or to support your organisation to change and adapt to new and future challenges.

In order to support communities, we fund projects and organisations which aim to:

build strong relationships in and across communities
improve the places and spaces that matter to communities
help more people to reach their potential, by supporting them at the earliest possible stage.
