FA Counties in England, Scotland and Wales, offering opportunities for youth grassroots football.

Once your grassroots club has its own constitution and structure in place, you will need to affiliate with your local FA counties. As part of the process, you and your colleagues will need to demonstrate that your club satisfies the FA’s stringent rules on quality. Your County FA will recommend a league to join

Use the FA counties contact details if you have problems with your Club, League or Safeguarding. The County leagues are there for the support of clubs, parents and spectators.

How does a club work with a County?

Each club will have to have its own constitution and structure of its club in place to be affiliated with the local County FA. You can inform the County FA of the league you would like to join and they can also recommend a league, this will depend on the number of teams and quality of the teams your club has.

Please note that as part of this process, your club will also be required to demonstrate that it satisfies all of the FA’s specific rules on quality.

How is Safeguarding dealt with at County level?

Each designated County FA has its own Safeguarding Officers. If you should have any concerns then please do not hesitate to get in touch with the County that you would like to raise your concerns. All calls are dealt with the respect and understanding of the officer you will speak to. If you have reason to believe that any of the safeguarding policies have been broken, then you should report.

How is Discrimination dealt with?

If you’ve been subjected to any type of racism, sexism gender or religious discrimination, you can count on your local county FA. They will support you or the affected parties along with your club. If you hear it or see it, please report it.

Can I walk into a County FA Office?

If you’d like to make an appointment with the FA, you must arrange an appointment instead of turning up unannounced at any of the offices.
